Are you interested in piloting one of the largest planes in the world across continents? Our custom journey prepares aspiring pilots to do just that with Atlas Air. In addition to earning certificates and ratings, cadets will gain valuable experience through specially crafted educational opportunities and leadership training.
Throughout the journey, cadets will immerse themselves in Atlas Air’s dynamic and global culture, both in-person and through an exclusive online community. Additionally, cadets will have priority opportunities to become an Atlas CFI and build their required flight hours.

The Atlas Cadet Academy is a unique opportunity for new students to train for possible careers as pilots at Atlas Air. This cadet journey trains students for these milestones*:
– Six FAA certificates and ratings
– Critical leadership skills
– Atlas Air culture and values
– Atlas Air Interview while building flight hours
With a custom-built Atlas Cadet Academy app, resources for your pilot training journey are right at your fingertips.

*The Atlas Cadet Academy (“Academy”) is intended to provide Atlas Air Worldwide with a pipeline of prospective pilots. The Academy is available to interested Illinois Aviation Academy (IAA) students. The Academy terms and availability may be subject to change. IAA is not a party to any contract between Atlas Air and the student. The Atlas Cadet Academy participants are not eligible for employment as a pilot with Atlas Air until achieving an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate after completing training with IAA. Employment and third-party certifications are not guaranteed.
Spartan Flight Academy (SFA) offers non-Title IV, non-accredited FAA Part 61 training that is not eligible for federal student aid. SFA operates independently from Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Spartan Flight Academy does not guarantee third-party certifications/ratings or employment. Estimated time required assumes a full-time flying schedule, varies by individual, and is not guaranteed. Additional flight hours and certifications are required to be eligible to apply for more advanced opportunities, such as airline pilot positions.
